Summer Summer Summer

And then all of a sudden it’s here. The Summer we’ve been longing for!

Time to enjoy a barbecue and morning coffees on our new terrasse in the garden. This is how building the new terrasse started:

And this is how it looks now a few weeks later:

We haven’t planned much this Summer which is really unusual for us. We hope to enjoy the upcoming weeks in our nearby surroundings for once - and right now there’s still a few working weeks left before the vacation.

No stress is the plan, and then a week with the grandparents in the northern part of Jutland in Denmark in August.

It feels really nice this way. Last Summer was so different. For those of you who  have followed my family and I for a while may recall that our holidays ended in a difficult way with my husband at the hospital for a long time and the rest of us in Spain and later on at home.

So this year we decided to do it differently.

The month of June has been full of joy. Our oldest graduated from high school and this event was celebrated big time with friends and family. We had guests over several days in row and loads of nice food. Days to remember for sure.

The weekend after all the celebrating, we spent time with my mother’s family . A tradition we have followed for more than a decade at a quiet place next to the sea in Denmark.

We cook together and cousins, aunts and uncles get a chance to meet at least this time of the year. Lots of hygge, talks and if the weather allows it a quick dip in the sea.

I wish you a great end to the month of June. Let’s catch up here or on Instagram!
