If you have read my previous posts the last weeks, you may have noticed that my family and I are spending time away from home right now.
You may also have seen that our holidays haven’t turned out the way we hoped for. Initially we had planned 3 weeks in Morocco and and one in Andalucia in the southern part of Spain, but due to my husband’s decease that has its ups and downs, we had to leave Morocco two weeks earlier than planned.
We decided that the boys and I would spend the rest of the holidays in Spain as my hubby returned back home for hospital treatment.
Normally when we travel we go to see different places and discover new things, but this time we have just gone with the flow to avoid further stress and disappointment. And honestly it has been so nice despite the circumstances.
We’ve spend many hours playing at the beach and cooled down at the swimming pool. In the evenings we have played cards and uno over and over. To my astonishment, the boys haven’t asked for the telly to be turned on even though it has been an option in both homes we have rented.
We have met so many nice and helpful people. Maybe it’s the sun that makes everyone so friendly and open? And I’ve noticed that the locals really know how to spend a cosy moment together: at the beach as well as in the cafés and restaurants.
When I return from Spain I always bring back the relaxed sensation with me and try to make it last as long as possible. This time is no exception. And if you wonder where to spend next year’s Summer holidays, I can warmly recommend Spain and its hospitality.
Early mornings.
