The Summer holiday seems so far away already. We had a couple of amazing weeks in the Southern part of France this year escaping a rather cold and rainful month of July in Sweden. I had promised my kids, well that's not entirely true, I had promised my self to visit Laduree's shop on Rue d'Antibes in Cannes, as I have this thing for beautiful surroundings and cakes.
My oldest son and I escaped the crowded pool area for a couple of hours one day and went to the city centre. My son wished to look at clothes and I really looked forward to a nice box of macarons (not the big one you see at the picture) but a regular - and affordable box - with the favourite flavoured macarons for an evening treat at the terrasse at home. To make a long story short, it was really warm that day, so we ended up looking at all the beautiful Laduree cakes, but didn't by any - which I really regret now. We bought a new pair of trousers to my son and went home again.
Going though the holiday photos I found my souvenir photo of the beautiful box of macarons from the shop and I couldn't help post it yesterday on my "Cosy Club" instagram account www.instagram.com/the_cosy_club - and I realized that I am not the only one loving Laduree's beautiful universe of cakes in pastel colours.
A few of us hope that Laduree will make a grand opening in Copenhagen very soon - that would be such a joy for all the hygge lovers iin the local area.
